IoTSec Australia

IoTSec Australia is an industry initiative to raise awareness and promote secure practices in the IoT ecosystem, to effectively help build a safer society through digitisation. As a not-for profit it exists to benefit both industry and society at large. We view IoT as an inextricably linked ecosystem comprised of people, process and technology with many applications such as Smart Cities, Smart Energy, Industrial IoT, Connected Health and many more. The taxanomy for IoT is growing as well with Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Internet of Military Things and event Extended Internet of Things (XIoT) now becoming commonplace. Whatever the descriptor, we believe that common security architecture, models and risk mitigation strategies should be implemented to ensure the appropriate levels of security are applied. Regardless of the application we promote security as an enabler and accelerator for IoT innovation through an iterative, risk based approach to security that is secure by design. Our team is comprised of passionate industry veterans with a focus on promoting innovation, transformation and disruption in the IoT ecosystem, underpinned by secure practices.
