MIP Labs is a new entity that has established an agreement with McMaster Innovation Park (MIP) to use MIP’s logo and likeness to help early-stage life sciences ventures grow. Our mission is to create a national network of co-working office and laboratory facilities, beginning with locations in Toronto, Mississauga, and Hamilton. MIP Labs is the place where Seed to Series A level life sciences ventures go to step-up their R&D and manufacturing capabilities, so they become embedded within a thriving Canadian life sciences ecosystem. The largest obstacle that plagues life sciences ventures in Canada is a lack of appropriate office and laboratory facilities for life sciences ventures to grow into once they reach Seed or Series A level financing. This seriously impeded growth of the life sciences industry in Canada and causes over 75% of life sciences ventures to leave Canada, along with their intellectual property.
