TRICEP can commercialise opportunities in 3D bioprinting including printer manufacturing, biomaterials, bioinks, and material-cellular combinations to address significant industry challenges that require an exclusive, tailored solution. TRICEP’s world leading research infrastructure can assist companies to bring to life novel technology from concept stage through to prototyping and manufacture of hardware and the formulation of customised bioinks, to accelerate product development and rapidly decrease time to market. TRICEP is supported by the University of Wollongong and the Australian National Fabrication Facility (ANFF) Materials Node. We develop biomaterial formulations for research for consumer product testing and pharmaceutical development, and ensure your product is arranged in terms of structural and bioactive materials for optimal performance. We are an ISO13485 qualified manufacturing partner for the supply of small to medium scale quantities of bioinks. The Translational Research Initiative for Cellular Engineering and Printing (TRICEP) works with research institutions and industry to develop innovative technologies using 3D bioprinting. We cultivate and optimise customised bioink formulations for regenerative medicine to deliver viable cells for the specific requirements of each novel hardware application and treatment. Our facility features a broad range of additive manufacturing technologies to process a range of commercially available polymer and metal materials, including carbon fibre nylon composites, titanium alloys, nickel and stainless steel.
