Vision RT was founded in 2001 with a mission to develop pioneering technology for Surface Guided Radiation Therapy (SGRT), with the goal of enabling patient comfort and enhancing treatment efficacy and efficiency. As the company has grown, it has been privileged to collaborate with some of the world’s leading cancer centers and equipment vendors. The company’s video-based tracking technology is quickly becoming established as the standard of care in surface-guided radiotherapy. Vision RT is part of the Demant A/S family, a leading Danish Medtech investor with a long-term investment perspective. Smith is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Institute of Engineering and Technology, co-founder of Vision RT and is named inventor on several patents. Gideon Hale supplies significant management and product design experience to Vision RT. Søren Nielsen holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Management and Product Development from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).
