Net Friends was established by David Scarborough in Durham, North Carolina in 1997. In the early years, Net Friends technicians were 100% engaged in delivering IT support to Duke University. In 2003, Net Friends began delivering our first monthly security reports, issued to dozens of departments across Duke's campus. We began offering compliance auditing services and capped the year by signing an agreement with Duke University to become their preferred outsourced IT company. Together with John and the leadership team, Neelesh helped define NetVisor—our first contract offering for Managed IT Services. By 2020, Net Friends continued to grow into a leading IT company in the Triangle.
