Social Innovation in Health Initiative

Our vision is to catalyse research in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) to foster and advance community-engaged social innovations that have the power to transform healthcare delivery systems and accelerate universal health coverage. The Social Innovation in Health Initiative (SIHI) is a vibrant global network dedicated to accelerating universal health coverage through social innovation, community engagement, and social justice in low- and middle-income countries. These hubs play a pivotal role by rigorously identifying and selecting promising social innovations, offering them essential research grants and technical support, and orchestrating comprehensive impact monitoring and evaluation research to ensure their efficacy and sustainability. SIHI is supported by TDR and additional funding is provided by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).
